Avalanche Rescue Kit 3+ – Ortovox Avalanche Rescue Set

Description

Simple and intuitive: in our new AVALANCHE RESCUE KIT 3+ we've combined all the high-quality emergency products in one set that can save lives when needed.

The contents of our high-quality box make the decision on what to buy easy: the proven 3+ avalanche transceiver with patented smart avalanche technology, the ultra-light BADGER aluminium shovel and the ALU 240 AVALANCHE PROBE with quick-lock tensioning system. The included Safety Academy Guide Book explains the basic rules and reveals a wealth of information on the complex subject of avalanches, with the aim that you never have to use the transceiver, probe and shovel.

3+ avalanche transceiver

With the 3+, you're in control of the situation! The patented SMART ANTENNA TECHNOLOGY with smart position detection automatically selects the best transmitting antenna, so you're easier to locate. We don't compromise on searching either. The 3+ has all the features of a modern 3-antenna digital device. The illuminated real-time display provides information on direction, distance and the number of buried victims. The patented circular indicator, combined with intuitive acoustic search signals, leaves no room for doubt when pinpointing victims. Once located, victims can be marked on the display. Automatic switchover in the event of a secondary avalanche, based on a motion sensor, provides additional safety. We even thought about the future: the 3+ accepts software updates and is environmentally friendly, as it needs only one battery.

BADGER avalanche shovel

The BADGER is an ultra-light aluminium shovel with an ergonomic hybrid grip for maximum power transfer! The large 2.5-litre blade volume is combined with a sturdy design, a pronounced central rib and high side walls for complete stiffness. The anti-slip ridges on the top edge of the blade provide sufficient grip when wearing boots. A centring aid at the shaft socket makes for quick assembly.

ALU 240 avalanche probe

A beginner's probe with a quick-lock assembly system: the ALU 240 is reduced to the absolute essentials. The quick-lock assembly system allows quick and simple set-up. It's ready to use in just a few seconds and packs away and folds just as quickly. Tension is adjusted simply by turning the optimised adjustment screw. The large probe tip, with a noticeably larger diameter than its segments, ensures better penetration. The low weight of just 200g is achieved by using 11mm diameter aluminium. Like all our probes, the ALU 240 has easy-to-read depth markings, a clear 1-metre mark and an orange lower section, for optimally adapting the digging strategy.
